Dan was born on December 31, 1965, in Honolulu, Hawaii the son of William Bill and Joan (Ward) Kelly. She was born September 2, 1948, in Hazel Green, WI the daughter of Duke and Irene (Burke) Montgomery. She was a devout Catholic and long time member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Rosary Society. She was expecting her first great grandchild from her grandson John and his wife Tess. and Kerri Sue (Jeff) Stange, of Platteville, WI; Stella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Matthew Hefel; four sons, Infant son Arlen, Rusty, Ritchie, and Brad Hefel; one great grandchild; and her siblings Alvin Brimeyer, Robert Brimeyer, Selma Boyce, Nick Brimeyer, Harvey Brimeyer, Mildred Tressel, and Earl Brimeyer. Dick Leibfried, 85, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on February 15, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Dan worked for Andersen Windows and Doors for the past 27 years as a machine operator. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2002. Tee was an active member of the Elks Lodge #297 where she served as Secretary for 12 years. A funeral service will be held at Noon, Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena where friends may gather after 11 AM until the time of service. He was employed as a mechanical engineer and product planner for John Deere Dubuque Works for 36 years, retiring in 2001.
