Chi O I'd say Chi O is more top tier and Pi Phi is universal top tier. DG has been dropping for last few years. Despite their relatively low profile, Alpha Chi Omegas are considered down-to-earth and genuine. For instance, nationally ChiO is "Make-A-Wish" and DG is "Service for Sight." This is complete nonsense and pure garbage. They matter more to the houses with the top GPAs and sometimes even more to the ones that dont have top GPAs but want to move up on that list. ALL have very rich girls and fake girls. Definitely party girls. I should have said that they dress "provocatively". At the bottom tier is kappa kappa gamma, delta zeta, AZD, and kappa delta. The words youll often hear about DGs are nice, social butterflies, and good girls. Their good girl reputation means they typically dont tolerate mean girl cattiness. Most girls are pretty and nice, probably one of the more classier sororities. This reputation is by no means uniform, which may be due to the diversity of girls who pledge KD. I think you are right on about all of them to a large degree. No matter what sorority it is you'll find beautiful women inside and out that want to achieve great things. Your class is beautiful but that isnt what is most important to some chapters. Kappa: Like Pi Phi and Theta, usually wealthy girls. PC18 preferred all the sororities above. Pi Phi: takes mostly girls with money from Highland Park and Memorial areas. With consistently high marks for physical attractiveness, sociability, and popularity, Pi Beta Phis certainly earn the envy of other sororities and the interest of fraternities. Circle around KD and ADPi. Id say theyre all relatively equal now. Even with some of the negative comments (which are expected and should be from every house), I have to say that this is pretty spot on for Texas schools, Bama, and Ole miss (theta exception for rebels). Most down to earth girls I've ever met. Not one person do I hear that they hate pi Phis. what kind of people you want to have as mentors and long-life friends, partly by reputation, but mostly by YOUR OWN GUT FEELINGS! Everyone is different. Even if you don't think sororities are for you, I would suggest just giving it a shot. Let the poor girls rush for Christ's sake and stop trying to put ideas into their heads about which are the best, the worst, the richest, the sluttiest, and the craziest sororities. :). Girls arent really told ahead they will be a Pi phi or Theta but all who end up in PKT know they will end up in one of them. My biggest piece of advice is to go into recruitment at UT with an OPEN MINDI cannot stress this enoughplease try not to listen to other girls and thier opinions of the houses, especially if they are negative. I agree that at my school Pi Beta Phi is the Top of the Top Tier, but they are nice, friendly and beautiful. They have heavier girls in their sorority and would completely humiliate their pledges by making them strip down in front of their brother frat to circle 'prob' areas in a sharpie. Okay so here are the real sorority rankings at UT Austin IMO Any young woman considering joining a sorority- take my advice. This may not be a fair assessment, though, and might simply be the sentiment of those who have seenand resentKappa Deltas' rise in rankings. Good luck!

UT rush is incredibly competitive due to the high number of legacies and in state students who already have connections with the chapters, plus the number of PNMs who only seem to want one of six chapters.
